Craven County Emergency Management is now offering notification to citizens through the use of Twitter. If you do not have a Twitter account, you can sign up for a free Twitter account. Get Notifications from Craven County Emergency Services

  • To begin receiving Craven County Emergency Management tweets: Send "follow cravencountyem" (without quotes) to phone number 40404 and you will start receiving tweets from Emergency Management regarding events on your mobile device. Text messaging charges may apply depending on the rate plan you have with your provider.
  • To stop receiving Craven County Emergency Management  tweets: Send "unfollow cravencountyem" (without quotes) to phone number 40404 and you will stop receiving tweets from the Emergency Management Twitter account. You can also use "stop" or "leave" in place of "unfollow".
  • Example: Sending "follow cravencountyem" to 40404 on your phone would mean you'd start getting SMS text messages whenever Craven County Emergency Management posts tweets regarding significant weather events or other events which could be dangerous to Craven County citizens.
