National Library Week 2020 Proclamation
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the Craven County Board of Commissioners proclaim National Library Week, April 19-25, 2020. During this time, all residents are encouraged to visit your library online. because of you, Libraries Transform.
Resolution in Support of 2nd Amendment
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Board of Commissioners for Craven County, North Carolina that:
Section 1. The Craven County Board of Commissioners supports the Second Amendment right of citizens to possess firearms and to use firearms for traditionally lawful purposes.
Sections 2. In support of the citizenry’s Second Amendment rights, the Craven County Board of Commissioners will take all necessary steps within its power to ensure that legislative bodies to not enact legislation unconstitutionally infringing the Second Amendment right of citizens to bear arms and use firearms for traditionally lawful purposes, such action including but not limited to lobbying of legislative delegations and interventi9on in litigation challenging such legislation.
Section 3. As further indicia of support for rights afforded citizens by the Second Amendment, the Craven County Board of Commissioners declares Crave County to be a "Second Amendment Refuge"
Resolution Recognizing Search and Rescue Efforts to Find Casey Hathaway
Craven County Board of Commissioners acknowledges the outcome of the search and rescue efforts for 3-year-old Casey Hathaway.
Resolution Seeking Legislative Support for House Bill 724
Craven County urges the General Assembly to take a proactive approach to ending unsolicited robo calls by ending their ability to use misleading information regarding the origin of the telephone solicitation.
Craven County Proclamation MUMFEST 2019
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CRAVEN COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, does hereby proclaim October 11-13, 2019, in honor of the “39TH NORTH CAROLINA MUMFEST CELEBRATION”, and commend its observance to all citizens.
Craven County Proclamation National Recovery Month 2019
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CRAVEN COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS does hereby proclaim the month of September 2019 as National Recovery Month in Craven County, and calls upon our community to observe this month with compelling programs and events that support this year’s observance.
Craven County Proclamation SICKEL CELL DISEASE AWARENESS 2019
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Craven County Board of Commissioners do hereby proclaim support and declare September 2019 as Sickle Cell Disease Awareness Month, and hereby urge all citizens to support initiatives to educate and raise awareness for Sickle Cell Disease and join us in reaffirming our commitment to reduce the burden of illness, disability and premature death imposed by this disease.
Craven County Proclamation National American Indian Heritage Month 2019
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CRAVEN COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS does hereby proclaim the month of November, 2018 as the National American Indian Heritage Month in Craven County, and urge our community to observe this month with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities.
